Rahu (North Node) in 1st and Ketu (South Node) in 7th House axis in Astrology

Rahu and Ketu in astrology are the demons who want to taste the nectar of the world, for that they can do anything. In hindu mythology the story of churning ocean of milk is which is related with our subconscious mind. Rahu and Ketu are lunar nodes which play a very important role in evolving the human consciousness, there is always in our mind a internal dialogue going on what is right or what is wrong, Rahu, Ketu are the confusion, illusion, smoke and split thought of the mind. They always help to evolve consciously. They are always on the axis, they are always 180 degrees apart.

Rahu is the head who wants to eat. It is an obsession, and it is our inner present life desire with us. Rahu is an obsession for those things where it is placed in the chart. Ketu is the body without a head; it is our past life experience. It is already filled with those things, detachment, disinterest for those things where it is placed in the chart. Although they are not the physical planet, they are the most influential forces in the chart. It is the Rahu/Ketu axis that the main force of karmic desire can be seen.

So what happened when Rahu/Ketu axis fell in the 1st and 7th house. House is an area of life. Rahu placement in the house shows the area of life in which we need to develop mentally and Ketu shows the area of life where we withdraw ourselves.

The 1st house is the house of identity, physical body, appearance, overall general health. And the seventh house is the house of other people, spouses, and dealing with others. Here Rahu is obsessed with their own identity and Ketu withdraws from others.

Rahu in the 1st house (Rahu (North Node) in Lagna) shows that these people think no one understands them very well. Here the native withdraws from others because other people criticize them too much. These people like to define their personality on their own; they don't like someone else defining their personality. Rahu is rebellious because the native don’t like other people's criticism and make him alone and unusual in behaviour and they try to find the answer about their own identity. Because of this they suffer in married life. The native suffered due to compromise with the partner and they did not feel satisfied with their own spouse and may wander.

Ketu is a planet greatly involved in the spiritualization process and the 7th house primarily stands for spouse and relationships. Ketu in the 7th house usually indicates that the spouse may be a difficult person with some problems and relationships are very strained. But with time these people learn how to live alone or live in solitude. This nature makes them introspect and learn about themselves. If unevolved the native can be very egocentric but if evolved the person is very spiritual. These people need to listen to others to overcome their shortcomings and try to self understand about their shortcomings and should improve themselves.

With time they learn to develop their own initiative and believe in their own personal power. These natives relied too much on other people in the past, and have been dependent on or dominated by others. Now they explore their own destiny, through his own efforts and his own actions. They will gain confidence and self-reliance. Life put them into situations where they need to act under their own will. They should develop a personality that the public identifies as being individual and they need to take a personal stand on things.

Ketu (south node) in 7th house makes person's overly idealistic image of a partner. Ketu is to criticize things where it sits. Due to idealistic expectations from partner marriage get disturbed.  As these people grow they signify their personal values are more important than general public or partnerships. Individuality is self-propelled and they do not take heavy partnership responsibility. In reality, the partnership activities are often a drag for them in many ways, but they have to learn to cope with that. Strong aggressive tendencies are developed, and the personality can be action-oriented.

Rahu in 1st and Ketu in 7th house shows that these individuals submerged their identity in the affairs of others in past lives. Marriage and partnerships are so deeply rooted in his way of doing things that his search of self is constantly viewed through other people's eyes.  They must escape from living in the shadow of other people's lives. These people must ultimately learn how to lead gracefully the role of leadership.

Summary:  Rahu (North Node) in the 1st house is obsessed!!! about the identity and Ketu (South Node) in 7th house indicates detachment from spouse and relationships are strained.

In past life the native was very indecisive not able to develop its own self will. They need to be careful not to be reckless, careless, impulsive, self-centered and Impatient with others. Rahu always amplifies the energy in which it is sitting. They know how to get things because Mars is a very competitive sign. These people act first and think later. These people are more self interested and self inspired.

Ketu in Libra sign:

Ketu (South Node) in Libra shows that in their childhood or in past lives there has been too much emphasis on learning from others and letting life run by others. These people are highly susceptible to flattery, they judge their happiness by the success or failure of those close to them. They don’t like to live alone, they are not confident enough and confused by the other . These people have some unrealistic desires which makes them susceptible to depression. Ketu in Libra shows these people are good in diplomacy, good in cooperating with others creating beauty and harmony. But now here is time for these people to learn and must make decisions of their own will whether they are right or wrong. Growth comes through self own experience. They must learn to overcome their sensitivity to all others' disharmonious needs of those around them. As the time passes they become self aware of their own thoughts. Thus these natives will achieve their greatest potential after they learn to serve willingly without desiring any reward beyond their own self growth. But they need to be careful not to get into the negative side of Libra sign, these being dependent on others, giving power away to others, over compromising.

We all have some immaturity in our mind; Rahu is mainly obstruction in areas of life where we are most immature. It wants us to teach a life lesson by making a person mature and evolved consciously. Ketu is maturity, overconfidence, when we are overconfident we make mistakes. Ketu teaches don’t be overconfident. We should try to listen and learn from others, so we can improve ourselves

Rahu shows what we want, it is obsession over those things where it is placed in the birth chart. Ketu is our past mind conditioning, it shows where we already dealt with and we don’t want anymore. Rahu and Ketu axis shows that in which area a person is immature and needs to be matured and in which area a person is matured. Where Rahu and Ketu axis fall in the birth chart it shows the most spiritual growth for the person in this life. Rahu and Ketu are the points where Sun (soul), Moon (mind), and earth (body) intersect in the sky. This point is very powerful and it forces us to think about who we are and what is life about. Rahu and Ketu are the forces which connect us with the divine.

Rahu (North Node) and Ketu (South Node) in astrology are the demons. In hindu mythology the story of churning ocean of milk is related to our subconscious mind. Rahu and Ketu are lunar nodes which play a very important role in evolving the human consciousness. Rahu and Ketu are the confusion, illusion, smoke and split thought of the mind. They always help to evolve consciously. They are always on the opposite axis therefore they are always 180 degrees apart. Although they are not the physical planet, they are the most influential forces in our life. Rahu/Ketu axis is the main force of karmic desire.

Rahu is the head who always wants gratification and it is obsessed over those things where it is placed. It is our inner present life desire of this life. Rahu is an obsession for those things where it is placed in the birth chart.

Ketu is the body without a head; it is our past life experience. Detachment, disinterest for those things where it is placed in the birth chart.

So what happened when the Rahu/Ketu axis fell in the 2nd and 8th house. Rahu placement in the house shows the area of life in which we need to develop mentally and Ketu shows the area of life where we need to withdraw ourselves. Houses are the area of life.

Second House: Security, self value, resource, wealth, represents food, speech, family, upbringing from parents, structure and what you value in your life.

Eighth House: Insecurity, fear, transformation, regeneration, secrets, occult science, money of other people, joint assets with the spouse, hidden affairs, death and rebirth.

So what happened when Rahu and Ketu axis fell in the 2nd and 8th house.

This axis is considered one of the most difficult because it connects with the 8th house of transformation.

Ketu in 8th house: Ketu in the 8th is conditioned about his fear or insecurity in the past or in childhood. Life is uncertain, unstable, sudden and shocking in the 8th house.  Ketu in the 8th house gives good intuition and psychic ability. These people have innate knowledge about sexual matters. They have natural talent for occult arts.

Rahu in the 2nd house: Our value comes from our family. The things we value in our life are shown from our home environment and how we were raised in. These people lack of values in their childhood or in their past lives. These people experience life as insecure, stressful and the person thinks that they need to establish solid foundations for security whether it is materialistic or spiritual. As we get older we define our own value terms. Rahu is a rebellious force in the 2nd house that rebels against the value system of the family and defines its own value and structure of the family.

Rahu in the 2nd house makes a person who will work hard to develop their own resources and define their own sense of structure and value. The 2nd house is the house of money. The person can be obsessed with money because money is a certain value and brings a certain consistency. The second house of consistency is in opposition to the house inconsistency and  insecurity (eight house). Eight house insecurities and fears, 2nd house want strong need to have certainty, and solid values that we can define our own. There is understanding in the person’s mind that life is volatile and at any movement  unexpected things can happen. Due to understanding of that area of life the person can withdraw from it and gravitate towards where things are certain and where we get to find values, be valuable and meaningful with our own terms. These people become very money oriented because money gives them a sense of security. They need to develop self-esteem and self-worth of their own effort. Due to these insecurities and a feeling of powerlessness in their past lives makes a person very reluctant to rely on others to help them.

Rahu in the 2nd house have strong appetites. They like to eat well and sometimes they may be alcoholic and used to smoking. Sometimes they also use bad language. But with time as the person gets mature they get better over time as their values improve. Rahu in the second is the most troublesome placement for married and family life. They face the problem of managing their own resources.

These people need to learn what is personally important to them and hold meaning and purpose. They need to look honestly at themselves and define these important values, and seek to apply them in daily life. Once they learn self respect and honor these values, they will stop to undermine others and respect themselves. As you create yourself relationships will improve and you become more satisfying.

This is a complex and difficult sign but Ketu understands these complexities as it is also involved in the deep mysteries of life. These people are interested in researching the subtle energies of nature and hidden knowledge. Ketu is without ego and Scorpio learns to break from individual identification towards the final lonely path of spiritual fulfillment.

Rahu in Taurus sign is very good about being resourceful, productive and stable. Here the person needs to be careful not to go negative on Taurus quality. It should be careful about not being materialistic, overly possessive, over cautious and stubborn.

Ketu in Scorpio sign is very good for change (transformation). The person needs to be careful about negative aspects of which is being destructive, vindictive, cruel, suspicious, and repressed. The person should be in the positive aspect of Scorpio that is transformation.

Those with Taurus Rahu and Scorpio Ketu Axis in sign must remember that the path of material satisfaction is as much important as  the spiritual path of life.
