DigBala or Directional strength is very important in astrology. It's the concept that shows Planets on certain direction or in houses do very well. Digbala is just like planet have double strength when it in certain direction or in houses.
House and Direction:
First house: East
Fourth house: North
Seventh house: West
Tenth house: South
Sun: As we know Sun is the power and the main source
of light of our solar system. Sun rise from the east and go down in the west. Sun
is on the head directly in 10th house (south direction) and Sun is not visible
in the night (north direction). So Sun have digbala in 10th house that is south
direction and no digbala or direction strength in 4th house ( North). Sun is
weak in 4th house because 4th house is night.
Moon: Is the planet of peace and comfort and Moon
visible in the night. Moon rule the 4th house and it is peaceful in the 4th
house because 4th house is night. When moon placed in 4th house it have digbala
or directional strength. If Moon is placed in 10th house it loses its peace
because in 10th house there is too much work pressure and Moon want peace and calm
environment to be peaceful which is 4th house.
Mars: Is the planet of war and action. 10th house is
the place for action in the world and responsibility. Mars gets digbala in
or directional strength in 10th house, because its role in life and 10th house
things matches with each other. Mars lose it directional strength 4th
house, because 4th hose is the place for peace not for war or fight. If Mars is
in 4th house the person loses his peace of mind.
Mercury: Is the planet of learning skill and communication.
Mercury placed in 1st house or in ascendant it have digbala or directional
strength. 1st house is the place where learning and interaction with
world it is good placement for Mercury to be here. Mercury loses his digbala or
directional strength in 7th house. 7th house belongs to partner or relationship.
Here Mercury too much relationship and partnership oriented which makes person
flirt. This is not good for relationship.
Jupiter: Same goes with the Jupiter. Jupiter Is the
planet of hope, knowledge and wisdom. Jupiter placed in 1st house or in
ascendant it have digbala or directional strength. 1st house is the place
where we should hopeful and learning, gaining wisdom in the world it is good
placement for Jupiter. Jupiter loses his digbala or directional strength in 7th
house. 7th house belongs to partner or relationship. Here Jupiter too much in

Venus: Is the planet of love, happiness and conveyance
and visible in the night. Venus rules the 7th house and when you integrate
happiness with your heart you will be peaceful. Therefore Venus in digbala or
gets directional strength in 4th house. Venus is placed in 10th house it loses
its happiness because in 10th house there is too much responsibility and work
which Venus don’t like it. Venus loses her directional strength in 10th house.
Saturn: Saturn is the planet of fear and anxiety. Saturn
loses its digbala or directional strength in 1st house, because Saturn in 1st
house makes personality fearful and slow in learning. Saturn is powerful and
gets directional strength in 7th house for making deal with every kind of
people. Saturn in 7th house makes person humble realistic about people need in
