Divorce (Matrimony) in Astrology

We all want to be happily married and want a good partner in life, but this may not happen with everyone. Nowadays there are many people who suffer from this tragedy which nobody wants. What is the cause of divorce? what could be the reasons for this situation astrologically.. Generally what could be the reason for divorce in marriage.

1. Disharmony in relationship, conflicting nature, no agreement, fighting with each other. 

2. Flirting nature of husband or wife.

3. Living distantly due to work or any other reason and getting involved with another person.

4. Extramarital affair of anyone.

5. Loss of interest in each other with time.

The 7th house and 7th lord represents a marriage. Any affliction to 7th house makes married life miserable and in severe cases leads to divorce. But there are combinations of planets for divorce, only one planet can’t be responsible for divorce.

The biggest reason for divorce in astrology is due to malefics planets in the 7th house and 7th lord placed with malefics planets ( Saturn, Sun, Mars, Rahu and Ketu). This situation can be modified if any benefic planets ( Moon, Jupiter, Venus) influence 7th house and 7th lord. Mercury is the neutral planet. It behaves Malefic if it is placed with malefics planets or benefic if it is placed with benefits planets. 

Saturn is the planet of maturity, responsibility, and teaching about life. It wants to mature, be responsible and want to teach a lesson where it sits. If it is sitting in the 7th house it means he wants you to mature, responsible about relationship things. Saturn is a slow moving planet so It always wants to marry late, but if the person marries early most likely it ends up in divorce 

no matter what. Those people who have Saturn energy in their 7th should marry late in between around 28 or 30 years of age.

The other reason for divorce is planet Mars. Mars is the individualistic planet. It always fights for its rights. But when we are in a relationship individualism does not sound good. Mars in the 1st , 4th, 7th, 8th, and 12th house brings a lot of arguments with partners which causes divorce. It is called manglik dosha in astrology.

Another reason is planet Sun in the 7th house. The Sun is the planet of ego. It brings the partner who is very egoistic. Due to the egoistic nature of the partner there is a lot of disharmony in the relationship. Therefore ego could also lead to the divorce if the person is not mature enough. 

Venus is the planet of relationship for both men and women. It shows capacity for love and style of love. In what manner people show their love it depends on their Venus condition. And if Venus is damaged it means their love life damage. It does not mean it comes from outside. Every planet inside of you and it shows your behavior. If you can manage yourself then you can manage many of your negative energies in your life. Your birth chart only shows you what you need to work on, so that you can live in harmony.  

Venus debilitated in virgo sign and Venus in virgo shows a lot of criticism toward relationships. If Venus 7th house or Venus is hemmed between the malefic planets like Rahu and Ketu or Saturn and Mars. It could also lead to the divorce. A debilitated Venus in the 7th house puts a lot of criticism on the partner which leads to divorce. 

There are other combinations also like if the partner is not loyal or flirt. Rahu in the seventh house makes a person like to have many partners. It may also be the reason for the divorce until any benefic planet sitting with it.

Ketu in the 7th house makes a person not interested in marriage and if they marry they may end up in divorce. But if any benefic planet influences ketu it may modify the result.

If a 7th house lord is sitting in 6th, 8th or 12th house or 6th, 8th, 12th lord placed in 7th house then it makes a person to marry a person who may be sick or away due to some work or any other reason also causes divorce.

The above explanations should be in combination for divorce to happen.

e.g If someone has a Virgo ascendant and Sun in 7th house, Venus surrounded by malefic planets like Mars, Saturn and Ketu the divorce could happen. 

There are many  reasons by which divorce can happen. We should always also check the D-9 chart .
