Nakshatras in Vedic Astrology

Nakshatras (Fixed Star)

In Vedic astrology the Nakshatras (fixed star) or lunar mansion, are related with the Moon journey in each nakshatra every day. The Moon changes signs (houses) roughly every 2.3 days, taking 28 days to move through the twelve signs of the zodiac. This gives two weeks for a waxing (bright half) Moon and two weeks for a waning (dark half) Moon.

There are 27 nakshatras; some texts refer to 28 for specific spiritual purposes. They divide the 360 degrees of the entire zodiac into roughly 13.2 degrees of arc per nakshatra. Moon residing nakshatras take more importance because Moon is mind and emotions, and mind and emotions play a very important role in how we receive life and how we are interacting with others. Although any planet shows its specific effects when they come into specific nakshatra.

Jupiter Conjunction (together) With Saturn / Mars / Mercury in Astrology

Jupiter is the planet of expansion, hope, wisdom, luck, wealth, finance, children, travel, and gains in life. Jupiter is the guiding force in everyone's life. Jupiter is the Guru and grace of God. If someone has a good Jupiter in the horoscope it means they have God's grace, and everything is life taken care of by Jupiter’s guidance in life.

Jupiter conjunct with Saturn

Saturn is the planet of worldly achievements, limitations, boundaries. It makes a person aware of time. Saturn shows the truth of life therefore it teaches us to live in reality. Saturn is a delayer of things in life, disciplined, practicality, and long term goal of life. Saturn makes people humble by giving harshness in life. Saturn is the steadiness of mind, power to live in loneliness and the ability to be good at meditation.

These two planets are different in nature in astrology. Saturn is about humanity, reputation, status, power and security of life. Jupiter is the planet of spirituality, religion which connects us with other worlds or with true wisdom of life. Although they are neutral to each other. It's a neutral kind of energy when Jupiter conjunct with Saturn. However Saturn delays things therefore this conjunction delays these things in life. Mercury represents intellectual capacity, independent type of thinking, memorizing things, quick wit,and how you calculate things. Mercury represents the learning and speaking ability of all intellectual activities in general. How you communicate with the people, reasoning and the ability to rationalize things.

Mercury is intelligence, and Jupiter is abstract knowledge . Jupiter is a belief system and it may be right or wrong. But when Jupiter is in conjunction with Mercury then this person has the ability to find the truth or true meaning of life. They are able to find whether their belief is right or wrong. They have good judgement power and discrimination power. This combination makes a good teacher. They have a good intellectual level and they like to talk about things with optimism and hope. They are good speakers about spirituality, philosophy, and religion. Mercury represents ideas and Jupiter is expansion. These people have big ideas about life and how to make it better. They are good in studies and higher learning. They are good at analytical and calculation and they can be good finance advisors.
