Vedic Astrology and Planets

Vedic Astrology is a system of transcendent soul nature to the physical form and tangible worldly life. In vedic system there is seven visible planets and two invisible planets in the sky which known as North node and South node.

As we know life on earth created by Sun and Moon, if sun does not exist we will die or if moon slips off from its orbit we can not exist either. Sun is the Masculine energy and Moon is a Feminine energy. These are the two planets which create life on earth.

In astrology there is 12 sign and each sign ruled by planets. There are six sign which are masculine and six are feminine.

The masculine and feminine sign ruled by planets are:

Masculine
Feminine
Leo ( Sun )
Cancer  ( Moon )
Virgo ( Mercury )
Gemini ( Mercury )
Libra ( Venus )
Taurus ( Venus )
Aries  ( Mars )
Scorpio ( Mars )
Sagittarius ( Jupiter )
Pisces ( Jupiter  )
Aquarius ( Saturn )
Capricorn  ( Saturn )

The concepts of masculine and feminine are universal. These masculine and feminine energy exist with in us through chakra system.

As we know all the planets exist within us in the form of astral bodies.  If we look at Vedic south Indian chart, the planets connects with feminine and masculine energy  of the chakra system of the human body and they exist in pair. e. g. Venus in Taurus is feminine and Venus in Libra is masculine.

Vedic astrology does not work with the outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. These outer planets does not rule any sign and house in vedic astrology, but these planets considered as a forces of trinity means forces of destruction ( Pluto), perseverance ( Neptune), creator ( Uranus).

Why We Listen to a Guru.

When I talk to people they say they have a Guru or they are looking for a Guru or they have not found a guru...

What is this Guru thing... why is that so.. what do these gurus do :-) this came to me as a curiosity .. started doing some thinking and analysis..

Following is what I thought of and may be of some interest to you as well ..

A guru is a person who has wisdom of life and they advice us in some ways to solve the problem. Now if you look at  it some times our friends and close one do the same thing and probably give the same advice .. why does it work with a GURU and not with other people..

I think it is because we doubt  and don't follow the advice given to us by other people.. But for the advice given to us by a GURU we don't doubt and follow through even if we don't get intended results.. we kind of have a faith and we try to follow the advice. Also something in us tells us that it is not our time and keep on trying.

There is a old story about 2 individuals who started their careers went to a elderly person for advice One person got the advice for free and the other person was charged one silver coin per advice .. after 10 years when both came back and met the elderly person.. the one with free advice was still an ordinary person where as the person who paid one silver coin per advice was wealthy and successful person.. upon inquiring the elderly person said that they both were given the same advice .. it is just the person who paid for it gave it a serious thought and try to use it where ever possible.

So if we look at it... the guidance and direction is all out there to solve our problem.. It is we who needs to give a serious thought and implement it.. till we are not serious about solving our issues .. we cannot find the answers.

We owe it to our-self to find our own way and not be waiting or blaming someone else for the things that happens in our life.

Spiritualism is another aspect of it where we need someone who can guide us through a path where we have not been and Astrologer is a person who can highlight subconscious influences on our mind to unravel it for dealing with our issues.

Following are some Self Analysis articles which could be of help

It is Hard to be Happy.. :-) So we choose to be Unhappy

Growing in Silence/Meditation (As they say Silence is Golden)

It is a strange thing to say.. How can  we grow/(get better) in silence? How does it help..

What do we need to do as part of silence..

1)  List down all the open issues.
2) How important are those issues.
3) If those issues are not important or we can live without them then let it go.
4) If that is something we need to deal with .. then make a priority list.
5) What can I do as a person to minimize the impact of the issue.

When we do this in silence.. we are going through the self analysis. This is self centric as we need to find our thoughts to be aligned with the surroundings to be at peace. Sometimes we need to step back and think of our surroundings.. we may need to do the following..

1) Rethink the problem.
2) Think about People involved in the problem.
3) How we are presenting or communicating the problem.
4) How our perspective is different than before with the people involved
5) What new skills are needed to resolve the problem.

When we go quite .. the real thinking starts

When we look inwards as that's how we perceive the world .. lot of things will get hashed out with realignment... This is something that is difficult to write a blog post on .. as this needs to be experienced.

Following is a list of some articles which will help you look inwards and decide on what needs to be done.
